My husband and I wanted to go out for a romantic dinner on our last day of vacation. We chose this place and went early to take advantage of the BOGO on entrees. Entrees run between $30 and $38 so this was a great deal. (Filet and lobster entrees excluded). I had the beef carpaccio which was meaty, salty, and perfect. I also had the Diver Scallops which were seared perfectly and resting on a bed of crimini mushroom and squash quinoa. My husband had the red snapper which was served with spanish rice and a chipotle cream sauce. One courtesy we appreciated was that they denote the menu with gluten free items. This is wonderful since my husband has been diagnosed with Celiac for around six years now. We didn't try dessert since there wasn't much GF to share, but I hear the Banana Beignets are tasty.

5-6PM buy one entree and get an equal or lesser priced entree for free is a great deal. We opted not to go this route, but I was sorry. The pizza here is wood-fired but the crust does not look homemade. Do not get it unless your non-foodie kids only eat pizza. Otherwise, the food was excellent as was the service. For vegetarians, they will make a plate of sides that is not on the menu, which I think is a very nice offer, but you have to ask for it. Thumbs up for the brussel sprouts - by far the favorite of the table, grits, caesar salad, fried oyster salad, and the mussels!

Solid four stars for Cafe Thirty-A. I dined here with a group of eight adults and three four year olds while on vacation. Our server was attentive and sweet to the children, and the restaurant was *just* noisy enough to drown out any stray cries of, "Where's my crayon?!?" The food was superb! Everyone raved about their dishes which included the lobster bisque, grouper, tuna, butterfish, snapper, and Cajun pizza. I ordered the Caesar salad with crab (excellent) and the crab cake appetizer. Sadly, the crab cake had a good deal of shell, and I stopped eating it after discreetly placing more than a few crunchy pieces on the side of my plate. We shared a few of the desserts, and the Bananas Beignet truly stood out. I enjoy savory Beignets a great deal and was looking forward to (finally) trying a sweet version. This dessert did not disappoint! I definitely recommend it! I would love to rate this as a five star restaurant, but the crab cake disappointed a bit too much. Regardless, it's a great choice for an upscale family dinner or a fun date.

Wonderful! Sometimes it can be difficult to know where to go for a good meal while on vacation, but Cafe Thirty-A was the perfect choice. This place is certainly not cheap, but the food, atmosphere, and service are high quality. The wine list is great, and everyone really enjoyed their meals! All had the arugula salad to start - delicious and simple. The scallops were flavorful and well prepared. Definitely rich, but the dish is not too big. The tuna was fantastic. Beautiful dish and tasted delicious! Would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone vacationing in the area.

We vacation to the Seaside area almost every year, beginning 11 years ago, because we simply love this part of the country. The first time we stayed in Seaside in 2002, we had a friend recommend Cafe Thirty-A and not knowing the area, we took him up on his suggestion. Bottom line - we go to Cafe Thirty-A every time we vacation here. We absolutely love the food and the experience. First the experience. Our service has always been exceptional - a very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive staff. Second the food. I am somewhat of a picky eater but have tried several dishes at Cafe Thirty-A and have never been disappointed. I typically either get a fish or beef dish and have yet to regret my selection. My wife would say the same. However, if you are not sure, ask your server. They can steer you in the right direction (a service I have used a few times). As for the cost, if you get there before 6 PM, they typically run a special where you get the 2nd entree for free. If you do this, a dinner for 4(two small kids before tip) with a salad, dessert and a cocktail is roughly $90. If you eat after 6 PM., you are probably looking at $125 (before tip). In my estimation (and I am frugal), it is worth it. A few notes - if you have smaller kids, it is appropriate for them. Keep in mind, it is a nice restaurant with more adults than kids there. We have taken our kids before and it was fine but have enjoyed it more when we ate there for just a date night. But if you do not have the option to leave the kids with someone, don't let that stop you from eating there. Also, parking is valet for a lot of the space so be prepared for that (although we park at the building next to restaurant and that always works out fine).

Cafe 30A is absolutely wonderful! The food is always great but most importantly the service is incredible! Alexander is truly superb! He is always incredibly kind and attentive with my family on vacation. We truly appreciate his exceptional service! We will be back now that's it's a family tradition. Thank you!

Prepare to be extremely rushed through dinner. Had dinner with long time friends last night. Wanted to have a relaxed evening but waiter kept pushing us even though there were several empty tables around on this Thursday night. One friend had the steak. It was 50% fat and gristle. Other friend had lamb chops which were brought to her virtually raw. She sent them back to be cooked. Waiter was obviously annoyed. Brought the manager. Manager agreed lamb chops were not edible and returned them to kitchen to be cooked. My wife had the sea bass. Very fishy tasting but good. I had the grouper which was terrific. At $38 it should have been and was. Crab cake appetizer was good too at $18. Valet parking will set you back $5 not including tip. Do yourself a favor and park next door to the east. So, go here if you have plenty of money to spend and order the fish.

Absolutely wonderful. Sit at the bar and enjoy Jim and Jason. They are both great. The food is the best on 30A. Bar menu is perfect. The fish is always fresh and tasty. If the fried lobster tail is on the menu get it. You can't go wrong.

I am a member of a group that stays on Florida's 30-A several times each summer. We have eaten at virtually every restaurant in the area and not only is this the best on he coast, it is one of my favorite anywhere - and we are from New Orleans! The appetizers are spectacular; the steaks are among the best I've ever had; and the banana beignets are one of be best deserts I've ever eaten. To top it off, the wine list is extensive and these guys offer a two-for-one entree special which makes it all the more appealing. Great, great dining experience!

After a week of eating depressing, overpriced tourist fare, it was a breath of fresh air to walk into here and have a nice meal. First of all, they have a great cocktail menu with some really inventive libations. I opted for the "Cucumber Melange" which was a yummy combo of the cucumber-forward gin Hendricks and Thatcher's Organic Cucumber liqueur, hell there may have been some muddled cucumber in there for all I know, but wow was it good. We had a pretty big party, with a LOT of kids, maybe a total of 12 total people. The server was quick, efficient and patient - bless her. One cool thing that we found out was that if you came there before 6PM, the entrees were buy one get one free, which was a hell of a deal. I opted for the Beef Carpaccio for my starter, which must count as a salad, right? There were greens involved, at least tangentially. Everyone else really enjoyed their starters too. For my entree, maybe it is because I had been loaded down on too much fish that week, I opted for a steak special that was a fillet with bleu cheese. Cooked to a perfect, almost mooing medium rare, and really just hit the spot. Server recommended a fantastic red to go along with it. My wife was really pleased. And through it all, our beleaguered server didn't bat an eye, took care of our needy needs, our kids, and made sure everyone was ok. I could have hugged her by the end. Last note, be prepared to valet, there is no way you will find parking otherwise, and it is a delightful convenience.

Excellent service and fabulous food. From the wine choices to the banana beignets everything was wonderful!

Most of this 5 star is due to the fact that you can go any day between 5 and 6 and get 2 for 1 entrees. So, buy a $34 dish and you can get another of equal or lesser value "free". The food is very tasty. Out of 6 or so dishes, I've only had one I did not like. Definitely get there between 5 and 6 to have a high quality meal on the cheap. The chocolate cake dessert is very tasty, too.

My wife's filet was 4 stars. My pan cooked red snapper was tasty but not what I ordered. Oops! The server offered to take it back but my two kids were not down with an extended stay. C'est la vie. The only way to eat here is with the early bird two-fers. Otherwise, the prices don't reflect the quality. Ah, 30A!

We have always had pretty good experiences here over the years while vacationing, but last night's did lend credibility to the rumor that this place has "gone downhill." It started with the appetizers. I specifically asked if the burrata was creamy and was told by the waiter that it was made in house and very creamy. It was a styrofoam log with zero taste so it was promptly sent back. The mussels were very tiny and were "so-so" according to the rest of the table. For the entrees, 2 of us ordered Grouper. It was tasteless and we suspect frozen rather than fresh-- seriously awful. 2 of us ordered Scallops. Both reported that they were "fabulous". I ordered brussel sprouts for the table as a side and they were drenched in butter and a little too soft, although tasty. The service was fine, but he truly seemed to care less that we did not enjoy our Grouper. Sadly, our days of eating here are over.

We went on a whim without reading reviews beforehand . As soon as we walked in we realized it was not an appropriate place to bring our three and four-year-old boys. But, we got lucky and they were little angels. The food and service were superb. My only complaint is the $5 valet. The finest restaurants in Atlanta do not charge for valet, so it's disappointing to see this in a beach town.

If you are visiting Florida's scenic highway 30A and are in the mood for some "nice casual" fine dining, you should definitely consider stopping in at Cafe Thirty-A. Each time we have dined there, the meal has never disappointed. During our most recent trip, I had the New York strip which was absolutely fantastic! My wife had a fall off the bone beef rib dinner which was the best we have ever had. Our kids shared the linguini with butter and parmesan dish. The service was absolutely fantastic and we look forward to our next meal!

Any restaurant that has stated on the menu "well behaved children are welcome" is not a good sign from the get go. We are vacationing at the beach with children like most people . We are sick of greasy fish baskets and want something decent. When we rolled up, I was a bit put off by the $5 valet. The décor was nice inside and the hostess was friendly and was able to seat us a bit earlier than our reservation. They put us upstairs in a good spot next to a large party, but shortly after that they stuck an older couple on a date next to us. Once I read the menu schpeel on children, I was sweating bullets just waiting for one of my kids to F up. The oyster salad was completely underwhelming. The grouper was pretty good. Nothing fabulous. It was swimming in butter. As was the grilled shrimp add on. Luckily we got in during the 2 for 1 entrees between 5 and 6, but dear lord, the food ain't great. my kids pizza, ahem wood fired pizza, was worse than a california pizza kitchen from the freezer. Was sorely disappointed by this restaurant and the looks I received when my kids (who did wait very long and patiently) started getting a bit restless. If you don't welcome my kids on vacation, that is not a place I want to dine. I'd pass this one up!

We dined here last night on a whim. I was able to score a restaurant.com gift cert and were in the mood for fine seafood. . . .this place delivers! We started with the lump crab meat and fried green tomato stack. . . .amazing! From there we had the grouper and jumbo shrimp entrees .. . .both excellent. . .although the waiter seemed to prefer the grouper, we actually liked the shrimp better. We also ordered a side of crawfish truffle mac and cheese...so so good! Wine was pleasantly affordable given how pricey the food was! On a super picky note, and I normally wouldn't care, but when you drop a couple hundred dollars on dinner, I expect a new wine glass when I order a different glass of wine. Don't pour it in the same glass I had my other wine in. Also, I expect to be given the option of a black napkin when I wear a black dress at a fine dining restaurant. These are super picky, but just something I've come to expect at this price point and was a little surprised to find these missing. However we would def. return!

The best food and service I've had in years. Can't make a bad selection on the menu! The crab cakes are some of the best on the planet and the grits are " put your face in them good" !

Went for the 2 for 1 entree special. Both food and service were really good. The crabcake appetizer was fantastic. Few places compare with crabcakes in Maryland and this is one of them. I had the filet and my wife had the snapper. Both were prepared well, hot and very adequate portions. We'll definitely make this stop again...

Pizza Appetizer. Lobster in paradise fantastic. Only thing it needs is a better wine list but a definite recommend.

  • Kevin P.

A bit disappointing. On a good note, their grits with quail are very good. The red snapper over andouille/shrimp risotto with a beurre blanc sauce was good, but would have been much better with a more subtle saffron risotto. My wife had a good fried oyster salad but the shrimp pasta was something you could get anywhere for 1/2 the price, then the molten cake was anything but molten. Good meal with a glass of wine for $80 but not the $128 it came too. There is better out there, try them instead.

Last night we went to this restaurant during the early bird 5-6 hour when you get 2 for 1 entrees. There were 5 of us so we took an extra entree home. The wines by the glass were priced well and a decent selection. For entrees we had the scallops and risotto, the red snapper ( my dish that was excellent) the grouper and the bleu cheese filet mignon. Everyone thought their entrees were excellent. A few had desserts but the creme brûlée seemed the best. Rounding out a great evening was that our waitress (Melanie) was a great sport. We would go back here again, although I would always come for the early bird!

Went here for a group/conference dinner. It was a great location for a big group and the food was really good considering the challenges of cooking for a big group. The biggest problem was the olive oil for the bread (literally the first thing you eat) was just off. It had such a flat, bland taste it made us all really nervous for the meal. However, the rest of the meal was pretty delicious (I had the filet and my husband had the snapper). It's a little dressier (resort nice) so it would make a great spot if you wanted to get a little more dolled up one night. Our waitress was absolutely delightful and I would definitely go back and try it again.

Food fine but WAY over priced for this market. Really irritating to have $5 valet parking pressed on you, especially with big signs that a gratuity is not included!

Yawn. That's my ultimate thought about this place. I've passed Cafe 30A several times over the years and was always curious about it. When we came down for vacation this year, we decided to give it a try. My best friend and her hubby were also in town so we had a double date. First, one of the incentives was the two-for-one entree deal from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. I am incredibly frugal but willing to splurge on occasion. So this was a nice compromise. This was a Wednesday night so getting a 5:30 p.m. reservation was not difficult. And the valet stand was closed so we could park ourselves, which I always prefer. The ambiance of the place is actually quite nice. Not pretentious but not ultra casual. The muted tones were good. We were seated in a nice central area and not a corner so that was pleasant. Our waiter, whose name I cannot recall, was knowledgeable and good about refills, etc. No complaints about the service at all. Three of us ordered margaritas and while I am no expert, I thought mine was very good. They did not skimp on the alcohol but did not overdo it. I appreciated that. Then came the food. :-( My husband and I shared the arugula salad with shaved pecorino, toasted pine nuts and a lemon/garlic vinaigrette. I was not impressed as there was hardly any vinaigrette on it so it was mostly bitter greens. For the entree, I ordered the wood oven roasted grouper with with corn, black beans, fennel slaw and tomatillo sauce. The size of the portion was very generous. But beyond a decent sear on the fish (it was fully cooked), there was no flavor. I tasted no hint of it having any roasted flavor or spice. Quite bland. The tomatillo sauce was also rather boring and uninspired. It was disappointing. My husband had the grilled Hawaiian butterfish and said that while it was okay, it was nothing to write home about. For dessert, I had the warm rum raisin apple bread pudding. I am a bread pudding nut so I always like to try it. This was pretty good, a little heavy on the rum sauce for my taste. But the texture was good and not overly heavy. It made up somewhat for the very boring fish. While I enjoyed dining with old friends, I couldn't help wondering what all the hoopla was about this place for the rather high price. Had we not been having a two-for-one deal, I would have felt really cheated. It's a nice place but not worth what it costs. Maybe I picked the wrong thing or the chef forgot to add salt/seasoning to the fish but I don't think we'll be back as there are much tastier alternatives.

One of the finest restaurants in all of FL. Harriet keeps up the ultimate Emerald Coast Dining experience on a daily basis. From the "beach house" looking exterior to the wine list, to the decadent desserts. Cafe 30-A has it all. The bread in and of itself is warm and served with olive oil and mixes perfect with any wine. The entrees are exceptional, from the Grouper to the pizza. The absolute best entree on the menu is the Lobster "In Paradise" and the name says it all. It's essentially Lobster Macaroni. The dessert to die for is the Banana Beignets. This is a must stop for any trip to the Emerald Coast. Total and exceptional fine dining.... PS they have 2 for 1 entrees daily from 5-6..

I must preface that I thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance, food, and wine at Cafe Thirty-A. It was the perfect location for our final night in Seaside which also happened to be a birthday celebration for our friend. You may be scratching your head in wonderment on why I would only give 2 stars? I can tell you that it was solely due to the unprofessional and rude behavior of our server Kelly. It has been quite some time that someone in the service industry has behaved in such an intolerable manner. Our table of six ladies ordered an assortment of flatbreads, salads, drinks, dessert, and wine. Everything was delicious and brought out in a respectable amount of time. We were all smitten with the beautiful layout of the dining room and were even more impressed that the fantastic hostess was able to squeeze us in for a late 9pm dinner without reservations during Memorial Day weekend. However, our embattled and scattered waitress made it a point to huffily let us know that she was "worn out from the weekend" and "ready to end the night" which was inappropriate enough. To add fuel to the fire, we took it upon ourselves to notate on the bill how the charge the 3 credit cards were to be charged as half of us paid cash. We could understand how tough it can be to split a check into 6 on a busy night so we were trying to be accommodating on our end. However, when she picked up a receipt for one of the tabs, she loudly complained to the nearby server and kitchen staff (we were seated very nearby this area) about the tip on the receipt... repeatedly. Little did she consider that she hadn't picked up the rest of the receipts or cash. Trust me when I state that we tipped over 20% total. Big mistake. Huge. Just about as big of a mistake as Cafe 30-A employing such an unprofessional and rude person. Very unfortunate as this spot was fantastic besides this... TIP: The kitchen was very accommodating to my vegan diet as well!

Very good food and exceptional service. They currently have a 2 for 1 dinner special from 5-6pm for the early birds. So I would recommend getting there early to save on the pricey menu.

Very nice evening. Seems like a popular gathering place. Both salads were good, beet and caesar. The snapper was fresh and delicious. My husband enjoyed the ribeye, very generous portion. Too bad our golden retrievers weren't on vacation with us!

Fine dining with a knowledgable staff, good wine and dessert list, perfect ambiance. Wonderful dinner place. Buy 1/Get 1 entrees before 6pm, too!

Really pretty good food, in adequate but not exceptional quantity significantly over priced. $34 bucks for four scallops. $8 more for an average Caesar salad. Perhaps the offer of everyday two for one reflects proper price poiint.

We just got back from Seagrove and ate at Cafe 30-A for the first time. We made reservations for 5:30pm to take advantage of the 2 for 1 entrees between 5-6pm. The $5 valet service was kind of silly, but the parking lot is small, so it was easier just to let them do it. Our table for 12 was ready when we arrived. The atmosphere was upscale and buttoned-down, but not pretentious. The wait staff was accommodating of the 5 kids and 1 toddler in our party, but it was written on the menu that unruly children would not be allowed to disturb other guests. Fortunately we had no problems, and another large party near us had children too. The menu was mostly surf and turf. All the adults enjoyed the entrees, but no one was particularly wowed by anything. One rare tuna steak was very lightly seared on one side, even raw on one end, but still delicious. Red snapper, lobster tails, and beef fillet-- all very good. The kids portions were huge, and expensive. Consider sharing. The kitchen was very efficient, as our meal came much sooner than expected for such a large party. The prices were fairly steep-- $25 and up for entrees, $8 and up for salads. Of course this was off-set by the 2-for-1 entrees. Be advised that the entrees only count for another free entree, and won't count towards a free kids meal, even though the kids meal was cheaper. In hindsight we could have ordered another full entree (for free) and split it between 2 kids, but instead we paid for an $16 kids meal. No house-brewed tea was a surprise, but they had 2 bottled tea selections. Overall this was a very good meal. We will probably eat there again next year, though maybe without the kids.

We ALWAYS hit Cafe Thirty-A when we go to the beach. The menu is very fish heavy, and that is fine with us. Great martinis, fun and helpful servers. The GRITS!!! The Grits are amazing and not to be missed. This is one of our favorites on the beach.

I wanted to like this place. It just didn't do it for me. Just so many better places on 30a. It was loud, and the food was just so-so. Food was bland, couldn't hear myself think or hold a conversation.

4.5 stars, if they offered it. I can't do 5, simply because the first time I ate here, either the Butterfish or my side dishes made me sick. It was fantastic, some of the best fish I've ever had...but not long after we got home, something didn't sit well with me. As strange as it sounds though, I'd eat it again because it was that good. Anyway, I've given 30-A other chances since then, and I've not been disappointed. The service here is incredible. Wait staff is as friendly and personable as can be. I'm especially impressed because it's in a tourist area...you know they deal with all kinds of tourons day in and day out, but they treat you like you're a special local. The food, of course, is fantastic. There's not much more to say...Cafe Thirty-A is the perfect place to take a date, spouse or significant other. The food is tremendous, and the service will make you come back again and again.

definitely overrated. quite pricey but the service does not commensurate with it. We had a twelve people long table.I know it was difficult to serve but the waiter frequently reached across the table to do his job. That was surprising considering this is one of the premium restaurant on route 30A. Food is acceptable but not exceptional. Tables are close together and you felt like someone next table was literally participating in your conversation. One good point I wanted to point out. They don't have a 18% gratuity rule for a party of 8 or more. The waiters will have to try to earn it. I gave it to them anyway since I knew they got bills to pay and the salary alone weren't going to make it.

Wonderful food, and you can't beat the BOGO deal before 6pm! We had 4 young kids in our party of 10, and our wonderful waitress kept service speedy but not rushed. Fantastic food and atmosphere. We come back here every time we are in the area. One of our favorites!

Of all the food we had on vacation a couple weeks ago, this served some of the best. As an appetizer, I had the Stone Crab Claws. These were very good, though not the best I've had. My wife had the Prince Edward Island Mussels. I'm not a mussel fan, but all mussel eaters at the table thought they were great. I thought the curry cream broth and carrots with which they were served were very tasty, especially soaked into some bread. I had Caribbean Spiced Butterfish, which was delicate and delicious, perfectly cooked. The accompaniments were first rate. My wife's Wood Oven Roasted Chilean Sea Bass also was cooked perfectly, with great flavor from the hoisin glaze. Being a fan of Macaroni and Cheese, Truffles, and Crawfish, I could not pass up ordering a side of Truffled Mac 'n' Cheese & Crawfish: Yummy! Another member of our party had the Maine Lobster in Paradise, which features the same Truffled Mac 'n' Cheese prominently. He also loved it. I had a Cosmopolitan made with vodka in which they'd soaked a fresh pineapple. This was an amazingly good drink! We arrived in the 5-6 pm 2-for-1 entrees time, making everything a pretty good bargain with excellent quality. The menu changes from time to time. They have an extensive wine list and full bar.

In general I was pretty disappointed by the dining experiences we had in Seaside. You figure a town that caters to mostly higher end vacationers would have the services and restaurants to satisfy. Not that anything was particularly bad, it just seemed that every employee in town had a very long summer and was ready for it to be over. We got this feeling pretty everywhere we went and I do understand it. But it also makes a place like Cafe Thirty-A stand out even more. These people are professionals and good at what they do. I'm sure they are just as ready for the season to be over as everyone else in town but at least they don't let it show all over their faces and in the service they provide. The food was great, all the fish dishes were by far the freshest and best we'd had all week and the Caprese salad was one of the best I've ever had. The huge yellow heirloom tomato slice was so fresh and flavorful. The wine list is great and the desserts are insanely good. You have to try the bread pudding! Overall this place finally delivered the service and food that was in line with the prices we had been paying at other establishments all week but leaving disappointed. Definitely worth your time and money to give this place a chance. Parking could be an issue and yes $5 valet is a bit tacky but who really cares, you're not coming here trying to save a few dollars.

It's pretty. The service is consistently good. The food is fairly good to some of it very good. The price is fairly reasonable. Overall - not blown away, but always a safe bet for a good meal.

I went here for dinner one night while in the area. For being so upscale, it is kind of surprising that it is so beachy-looking inside (like Amanda S. said). I think it creates an odd ambiance when you have that sort of setup and serious waiters cruising around in black. I recall it being pretty loud in the restaurant even though we were seated in a little 2nd floor nook at the top of the stairs. I remember getting some type of white Hawaiian fish with pineapple and (I believe) jalapeño couscous. I don't see it on their menu so it could be seasonal or they could have taken it off. If they did the latter, I can see why - it really wasn't that great. It wasn't bad, but it was a little dull and I think the flavors on that dish were off. I think we had a wedge salad that was standard. Banana beignets were on point. Our service was pretty good throughout the meal as well. As far as price, it's an expensive restaurant, but nothing was particularly over the top. Like Amanda S. also mentioned, they charged for valet, which is ridiculous. I think this may have been the only occasion I've been charged for valet anywhere. I hate valet anyway though so this was especially annoying. I think I'm going to give this place another shot when I'm in the area again since it wasn't a clear winner for me. Next time I'll order more conservatively. 3

Here for vacation. Seems like everywhere says "casual fine-dining"...which I guess means you can eat your steak and lobster wearing shorts? Amanda and Ben have pretty much covered most of it. The valet is a little weird to charge your patrons, where else are you going to park? Ordered a nice Pinot Noir from Oregon to start. Caesar salad was great. For the entree, ordered the Lobster with mac n' cheese, asparagus. It was delicious, couldn't have been any better. It was open shelled with just enough pepper. The other entree ordered was the filet mignon - grilled to perfection. Desert was a molten chocolate cake which was greatness. My first visit and I would return for sure. It was a bit pricey -- service and food were excellent. A little loud in the bar area. I would recommend sitting in a side room.

Great food and friendly service. I loved their butterfish in a coconut sauce, which was light, subbing the sweet potato mash for mushrooms. Also, their king salmon was some of the best salmon i've had.

We just had a fabulous dinner on Tuesday night for a group of 14 (8 adults + 6 kids). The service, food, drinks were all perfect! Everyone loved their choices from the lobster in paradise (lobster with adult mac & cheese), lamb, tuna - it was all so good! The crab cake appetizer was one of the best! Dessert was out of this world - bananas beignet's! It is our new favorite restaurant in the area!

As an update to a posting from Wednesday, July 6, I will give credit where credit is due. My wife and I had limited time in the area and only one night to enjoy an evening out for dinner. We heard great things about Cafe Thirty-A, but had a bad experience. The food was great, but the service (for a host of reasons) was horrendous. We felt ignored as a small party and there were some additional technical issues. That said, I reached out to establishment via their comments section and heard back from the owner within 48 hours. We received an apology and a commitment to make improvements. Frankly, that is all a restaurant can be expected to do. I stand by my original posting that we were very disappointed in our experience, but we will return to Cafe Thirty-A to try it again.

We had a fabulous experience served professionally by Jeanie. The carpaccio and ahi tuna were expertly prepared. The creme brûlée was sublime. The restaurant was vibrant, clean and the clientele made for interesting people-watching.

This place is "go-to" white table cloth. Been open for 20+ years for a good reason. They treat you right. Make reservations during the season. They stay busy.

Wow! This will be one of the finest dining experiences you will have in Northwest Florida! All the entrees had great flavors that worked well together. Lots of interesting seafood choices. Make sure you get the banana beignets if they offer them for desert, incredible! Get there and order before 6pm and entrees are 2 for 1. Wine list was nice as well. Our server knew the menu and was helpful with recommendations! I would highly recommend!

The quantity of high reviews is very surprising, and I attribute it to the relative paucity of fine dining in the 30a area. The food is fine, nothing to write home about in terms of menu creativity or cooking. The seafood seems fresh, save the salmon, lobster and other non-local varieties. The service is exceedingly casual. The last time I was there the waitress couldn't answer questions about the wine list--she has heard the white Bordeaux was good was as far as she could go. (At least she had heard right!). I'm always also suspicious of $50+ per person meals in restaurants where I am offered the chance to buy a t-shirt of baseball cap with the establishment's name on it for a souvenir. In my book this is a fine but certainly unexceptional white table cloth restaurant that is slightly over priced for the service and location.

Food was really delicious but the waiter was incredibly rude! I'm Los Angeles and have experience with rude waiters. But, this guy was trying to be a such a erudite foodie that it was a total downer. So, if you want to have an amazing dinner with an A-hole, this is your place!!!

Absolutely the worse dining experience of my life. I ate practically nothing of what was served. Me, and three others went for the 2 for 1 special they advertise. Being a Florida restuarant, seafood was primary on the menu but I felt like Chicken, so I settled on the roasted chicken. I noticed the lima beans served with it came with bacon. So I requested that bacon be left of my plate. I learned that subsitution were not eligible for 2 for 1. Well in my defense, I wasn't asking to replace an item, I was looking for an item to be left off. No go. I asked that the lima beans be left off plate and just given the roast chicken and mashed potatoes. Again no go. My dining partners suggest I just scrape them off when I got my plate. However the lima beans were put on the plate in such a way that it made it impossible to eat but a few bites of my plate. In addition the chili on the fish for two of my other dining partners was too much even though they had specially asked the waiter about the spicyness of this dish.

Knowledgeable staff. Great butterfish, shrimp pasta, martinis, good but not large wine list. The steak and grouper, not so much. Disappointed Karl Rove was not in attendance.

We checked out this restaurant before making our reservation to make sure they had a separate kids menu and were considered reasonably "kid friendly," as we wanted great seafood, but had our two kids with us on vacation. When we pulled up, we wanted to self park, which we did, but got lucky with a spot in back. Prepare to valet, if you drive, even though your valet will park your car about 20 feet from where you go into the restaurant. Not the valet's fault - they were very friendly, but the parking situation is not ideal. We did notice that it was odd to be billed as "casual," but when you walk in, you get a crowd of either very dressy or those in flip flops. The waiters are dressy, which makes one wonder why the restaurant is billed as casual. We were somewhere in between. We took advantage of the 2-for-1 entrees and made an early reservation, but our waiter clearly did not want to serve us, from the moment he saw our kids. They could have sat perfectly still (and they were well mannered while there, with the exception of my 20-month-old talking a little loud a few times) and he would not have wanted to serve us. There were no drink refills, no "how is everything," and he basically ignored us. We also witnessed other wait staff being rude to each other (not necessarily patrons), which detracted from our enjoyment of the restaurant. The reason we gave this restaurant three stars and not one star was the food. The food was good. Not exceptional, but very good. We started with the wedge salad, which had a very nice, flavorful Gorgonzola dressing. We would absolutely order the salad again. My husband had the snapper, which was prepared perfectly to his liking. It was a nice compliment to the Cajun style sides on the plate (dirty rice, etc.). I ordered the gulf coast shrimp and was pleased with my choice. The shrimp were large and the dish was prepared nicely as a pasta. My one complaint was the shrimp was tail on. I did love the feta with the shrimp and dish as a whole was very filling. The one area I want to address, for those dining with kids of any age, is the kids menu. DO NOT order the pasta. It is very overpriced and probably cost them about $1 and they charge you $11 for a bowl of penne, sauteed with butter and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. Opt instead for the grouper. It was fantastic! I would have ordered this for myself, if it was available. The portion was huge and could have easily served two kids, maybe three. It was served with delicious mashed potatoes and green beans that even my husband liked. My little girl, who hates green beans, ate them. It was pricey, but if you split it between two or more kids, it is okay. Overall, the other staff we encountered that was not in our general seating area was very friendly and now that we know what we know, we would probably give it another chance.

This is one of our favorite restaurants when we go to the Seaside/Sandestin area; we always make sure to make it one of our reservations. The atmosphere is very beachy inside, open and airy; it feels like a big house, and there are big umbrellas hanging upside down from the ceiling. My only complaint was going to be with the $5.00 valet parking which did not include tip. However, the valets were so entirely whacky and entertaining while we waiting for/got into our car that it was hard to be mad about paying for the parking. The menu changes daily, so there are no specials, but in a way, every dish is a special. There are lots of seafood choices, wood-oven baked pizzas, steak, chicken, pasta, etc. There were a variety of salads to choose from including an iceberg wedge with blue cheese dressing/bacon crumbles, a spinach salad, a mixed greens salad and a beet salad. I had the caesar salad which was delicious. For a main entree, I had the chicken, and it was some of the best chicken I've had in a long time which you might not expect from a restaurant at the beach (assuming they would specialize in seafood). For dessert, we ordered the bread pudding and the banana beignets with cinnamon ice cream. Both were pretty huge and excellent. Our waiter was excellent, as were the two men who were assisting him. The only mix-up came with the check at the end when a different table's order was charged to our credit card. However, this was quickly fixed once we brought it to the attention of the waiter, and he apologized for the mistake. Other than that, the food came quickly and the waiter was engaging with us and the surrounding tables. This was probably my tenth time dining at 30-A, and I have never been disappointed. I find that it is consistently good food with good service, and if you are in the area, it should definitely be on your must-do list.

By far my favorite restaurant in the area. I hit it every time I go! They have exceptional service, a large menu, and gourmet cuisine . Items I would suggest : -Grilled Georgia Quail -Fried Oyster Spinach Salad -Filet Mignon( I ordered it once when they had watermelon salsa on it -- YUM) -Sesame-crusted rare yellowfin tuna I can't wait to go again! A+ ps- amazing wine selection

Both our entrees were fabulous, lump crab cakes and shrimp linguini, plus we couldnt resist trying their truffled mac n cheese w/ crawfish, awesome!! Very nice/romantic atmosphere inside!! Great service as well, the waiter was very knowledgable. Go between 5-6pm for half off dinner entrees!

The food was so good I didn't even have the will power to take photos. A group of us went on a Saturday night. Pretty crowded, so we put in our name, went to the bar and right as we got our drinks we were in in less than 15 minutes. Our server was great. Can't remember his name but he was Australian, super attentive and recommended great dishes to all of us. We started off with the beef carpaccio with horseradish aioli and came topped with caper berries and truffle vinaigrette. Highly recommend. My friend and I split the filet mignon & the lobster. The lobster came with truffle mac n cheese that was to die for. The filet was cooked to perfection; a tad bloody just how I like it. Pricey but well well worth it. One of the best Filets & Lobster dishes I've ever had.

Fantastic place for dinner! Everything we had was excellent. The NY Strip steak with corn risotto was cooked perfectly! The Maine lobster tails came with 3 tails, mac and cheese, with crawfish tails and asparagus. (Pictures posted of both dishes.). Food was out of this world! The kids steak looked like an adult sirloin and was huge! Be sure to take advantage of the 5-6pm 2 for 1 deal. For a party of 4, we saved over $58 with this deal. Highly recommended.

Evidently, the most romantic table in the restaurant is a two-person table located right smack in the middle of one of the server stations. How do I know? My husband phoned in a reservation, asked for a romantic table so we could enjoy a date night that doesn't often happen sans kids - and that is where we were put. We kindly asked to be moved and were; and then moved again .. right back to where we started as the ladies at the podium were not impressed with or inclined to grant our request made via server. My husband went to the podium to ask the lovely ladies himself if we could please be moved a third time; and with a huff, and a puff, and a massive eye roll ......... we were. Kind of tainted the entire experience at this point. We both ordered the arugula salad; he ordered a pizza and I ordered the truffled mac and cheese for us to share. Sadly, while we did enjoy the salad, unimpressed with the pizza and pasta. Our waitress was sweet, but didn't save the experience. I see great reviews, but our visit definitely did not hold up. We'll be heading back to Great Southern Café and the Wine Bar in Seaside; both having consistently excellent food and service.

This place is suppose to be the bomb... Don't get me wrong it's nice but a little over priced for what you get. First, they have valet which is always a plus in my book. The restaurant has a very cape cod feel all painted white wood. The tables are nice but seriously time to upgrade the chairs. They look cheap and feel wobbly. Our server was fantastic very attentive and our wine was always full! The sommelier was helpful and love the proper glasses for each wine. I thought the wine list was nice, and reasonable price points for some excellent wines. Our entrees were ok... I had the filet which was done medium rare. The problem was it just didn't have a flavorful taste. I would do the strip next time. We also had the gulf shrimp and pasta, which again was just ok... For the price, homemade pasta would be so much better. Overall my opinion is that you are paying for the pretty atmosphere and the service.

This is a must on your food stops. We ate a late lunch so stopped in for a light dinner. We shared the Margarita Pizza and Caesar. The Pineapple Cosmo is a signature drink and was strong but good. The atmosphere is conducive for adults. A hot spot for sure.

Very good food with a fine dining atmosphere. The steak was tender and juicy, the snapper was prepared well; not too fishy flavored and had a neutral aroma. Like other review state, the crab cakes are very good, with a high crab to breaking ratio. Leave the kids with a babysitter and enjoy this outing as a date night.

Omg!! This place is so good!! Best filet ever cooked to perfection. Awesome shrimp with pasta dish. Heirloom tomato salad was great. Ended our meal with banana beniets and lemon pound cake. Everything was wonderful. Our best meal of this vacation. We will definitely be back!! Kind of pricey. Arrive at 5 for buy one get one entrees to help keep the bill down. Food not to be missed, excellent service, amazing wine list .

Great food, great service, nice ambiance. We ordered the mussels, grouper, snapper, seared tuna, cheesy grits, and carrot cake. All were chef prepared to perfection including presentation. Our waiter did an excellent job. The BOGO was a nice addition.

The reviews I read on yelp set my expectations really high and sadly those were not met...the food is good, place is nice but there's nothing particularly special or wow factor here. Staff was great and service was FAST - so fast we actually thought the food was precooked. Even if that's the case, it was really good. This is not a bad review - just saying the place is OK not anything unique though. It's worth a try but I wouldn't crave to go back unless it was for those banana beignets :)

Came highly recommend and it did not disappoint. Crab cakes were very fresh and tasty. Filet was excellent and chocolate smores for desert was awesome. The blueberry spoon cake is also an excellent choice. Service was good, but food was a little slow. Bring your wallet, but worth the wait and cost.

Amazing food and amazing service (Kelly was our server). Crab cakes were delicious, as was the strip (was cooked exactly as asked). The truffle Mac and cheese was a great choice for an add on/side and the bread pudding made for a great dessert. Nice ambiance, too. We will def. Be back on our next visit and recommend to others as well.

Made reservations 45 minutes prior with no problems on a busy night during spring break for an adult only dinner. Seated promptly with waiter giving us just the right amount of attention. I had to have the fish tacos which were delicious. Overall a wonderful place for a nice meal in Seaside that doesn't have a bunch of kids running around.

Food and service always great. Early bird special great way to splurge with one entree free. Very reasonable corkage fee of 15.00. Our server Don was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. Was accommodating to take a couple pictures for us. NY strip was great choice. Would order this entree again. Deseret of pineapple upside down cake was wonderful. We've dined twice and enjoyed both times.

Food - very good. I had the swordfish and my girlfriend had the red snapper. We both split a crab cake appetizer. Portions were hearty. The food was really good but did not break into that next level excellence. - Crab cake - very respectable. Lots jumbo lump crab meat. ok flavor. - Swordfish - fresh catch. Well-seasoned. Turns out, I am not a fan of how meaty swordfish is. Not Cafe 30A's fault. I was just trying something different. In fact, the waiter was quite informed and gave a very good description of the dish. - Red Snapper - excellent. Nice sides. Service - nice waiter. Polite and unobtrusive. We told him it was our first time and he thanked us for trying Cafe 30A. He did not give a quick background of the restaurant but no big deal. Was knowledgeable about the 2 dishes we asked him about. Gave an accurate description of the dishes. Made decent recommendation regarding our appetizer. Atmosphere: pleasant. We were in a side patio-like area, kind of away from the main dining room. The dining was upscale but casual in the way that most beach restaurants tend to be.

1st time to the area we didn't know a reservation was needed or preferred but we got there when it opened and got to sit in the bar area which was fine. The waiter was one of the best I've had. The food was good, (I've had better at a way cheaper price.) The drinks were great also. Over all a great experience. FYI if your on a vacation budget go during there happy hour buy 1 get 1 from 5-6. At Least it was when we were there.

Cafe 30A has become my go-to place for impressing our visitors with the great cuisine the Emerald Coast has to offer. My most recent experience was as stellar as always. My friend had the grouper and she just about licked her plate clean. I had the shrimp pasta and it was out of this world. If you eat nothing else, get the banana beignets. Desserts are plenty large enough for two. What made our last visit really shine was our server, Carrie. Fast, friendly, and great personality. Will be asking to sit at her station from here on out.

It's off the list. When you vacation on 30 A you have a number of options for fine dining. 30 A Cafe has been traditional for us, but the latest service leads it to be average. While you could argue the food meets a four star standard, the kitchen is not able to meet the demands of large crowds. During our visit this year, we were seated at 7 PM, and while appetizers and salads were timely, it was an hour and fifty minutes before our entrees arrived. There are better options in this area, and 30A can't rely on their history for continued high ratings.

Made it here finally last year on our trip to Santa Rosa Beach. The food here was spot on...the service was excellent....I liked the atmosphere...lots of open space, but still felt comfortable. Some may say the prices are high, but i feel like you are getting what you pay for here. This is is really nice place with great food. If your looking for a "seafood shack"...this is not it.. If you want to treat yourself then you will not be disappointed. Everything we had was fantastic....

I didn't know what a treat I was in for when we decided to eat here because of the sign out front said entrees are half price from 5 pm to 6 pm. Score!! Anyway, my husband had the lobster macaroni dish that was to die for and I had the shrimp linguine that was almost as good. My picky 7 year old had spaghetti with marinara that she liked and the rolls were yummy. We didn't realize when we went to the restaurant that it was upscale, so we were not dressed appropriately, but the staff didn't seem to care. The service was outstanding. This will be a regular place to visit whenever we go back to 30-A.

Always the best meal of our vacation. This year was no exception. While the price point is higher than I would normally be comfortable with, their buy one get one special brings it within reach. The dishes are well thought out and perfectly prepared. Service has always been exceptional as well. I am amazed each time how good everything is. If you have to skip a couple meals to work it into your budget, it will be more than worth it.

We started with the quail with grits, it was delicious. We had the snapper, grouper, ahi tuna and the lo mein, can't go wrong with any of them. All delicious! Ended the meal with beignets, big enough to share. That was great too. Not anything like the New Orleans beignets though. If you can go between 5-6pm, when it's 2 entrees for 1, it's the best time to go.

We went in February and while it's the off season the place still had a good crowd. Perfect in my opinion...didn't have to wait but enough to keep the place warm. The service was great and the selection of fish was also great. My wife and I both had wine, salad, and the red snapper. Everything was wonderful. The only compliant I have is the valet charges $5 w/o gratuity and the place is pricey. It's not a big issue because I believe you get what you pay for and we rarely go out due to our young children. I would recommend and will go back when we get the chance.

Overall fantastic food and drink. The seafood was fresh as could be. The beat salad and the lobster quinoa were out of this world. The wine list was stacked and they had staff that was quote knowledgeable. The martini selection was top notch. Nothing bad about it.

Loved it! Had a late dinner, around 9 pm and we had called ahead from another restaurant that was giving us a 40 minute wait. They were so nice and said they would have a table for 8 when we arrived. Drinks were great, Caesar salad awesome. We all had a variety of entrees. My friend and I split the oven snapper as we were not so hungry and the waiter Bo was so accommodating. Other people in our group had ribeyes, filets, tuna, a variety. Everyone was happy with their meal. Definitely would come back, very impressed, especially with our waiter Bo. He was so nice and helpful. My husband left his hat at our table and he ran out to come find as we were leaving.

Another great dinner with wife and friend. Seated at 5:30 for the BOGO. Cocktails were perfect. Waiter helped with our selections. My wife had the Pan Roasted Lamb Rack which she enjoyed. Our guest had the Grilled Filet Mignon which she said was to die for and was the best she ever had. I had the Seafood Cloppino that was super good. Our waiter was attentive but not intrusive. Prices are a bit on the high side but well worth it. Will return again and again.

Full disclosure: we constrain ourselves to eating at the bar, sans views. If Carpaccio is on the menu we always order it and the Carpaccio at Café 30A rivals some of the best we had. Granted, the serving was a bit light but the taste almost makes up for it. The Tuna Poke was excellent with a balance of tuna, avocado and wasabi aioli. The rice crackers were good but not necessary. We spilt a Pan Roasted Chicken whose flavor was incredible. The brussels sprouts were amazing mixed in with shiitake mushrooms, ham, and tomatoes. Wines by the glass were good but I wish they had a larger selection. Jason, our bartender, was fantastic. Items missed. Jason, tell me your name before I ask and let me know of the charge for spitting an entree when I order. It was worth the $2 - just caught me a bit off-guard. The bar was great but it need a few more 'under the bar' hooks for women to hang their purse. Only found 1 across 4 bar stools. The bar stools are uncomfortable and they need to fix the upholstery, they do not belong in this class of restaurant.

We ate here last night and it was absolutely amazing!!! We had a very large party of 18 (including 10 children) and were assigned two servers (Jay and Ramsey). Our table was ready when we got there and Jay and Ramsey made the night go so smoothly. The food was delicious! We all had different items including snapper, tuna, grouper, filet, mussels and scallops. There was not one bad item! Desserts were amazing as well! We will definitely return!

Unfortunately, our dinner reinforced the stereotype that beach restaurants offer uniformly mediocre food. The best thing we had was the spinach salad w/fried oysters and bacon vinaigrette (though the oysters badly needed seasoning). The grits were as advertised (delicious) but the quail was over cooked, tasteless and stringy. Scallops: fishy; grouper: bland; chicken: nothing special. I'm not sure why the restaurant was so crowded. We won't be back.

NOT KID FRIENDLY and they are rude about it! At the bottom of the menu it states 'well behaved children are welcome,' I'd like to know the definition of a well behaved child. The 3 yr old we were with was loud at times, but not out of control. Very few 3 yr olds could've handled sitting around for 1.5 hours and still not have his dinner yet. I know some adults that could be louder and more disruptive. How loud could he have been if I could hear the rude waiter (not ours, our waiter was excellent) talk to the owner about us and everyone's conversation around us. For a restaurant that has a kid's menu and crayons for kids, they do not seem to want kids there. It would be better if they just stated no kids allow. My friends frequently vacation in this area and always eat here. I have been here all 3 times I have visited. We ordered drinks and several appetizers. We were not rushed at all, which is nice when vacationing, but we were also with 2 kids. Most restaurants, kid friendly or not, tend to keep in mind kids of all ages will get bored. They should have asked if we would like the kids dinners while we were enjoying appetizers. Our waiter took our entree order after we finished appetizers (getting very close to the 1.5 hour mark at this point). As we got our salads the owner came by (she didn't introduce herself, but I later found out it was the owner) and asked how things were and if we needed more crayons, which we did not. Even though all 4 adults were already doing what we could to entertain the 3 yr old with us and keep him quiet, a few minutes later she came back by and asked us to 'get him quiet' and walked away. Seeing as kids do not have an off switch and we did not have our magic wand with us, we got our waiter and told him to cancel the rest of our dinner as we are leaving. When we got our bill they tried to charge us for the entrees we cancelled, the owner stating she was not sure if she could get it off our bill. We understand the 3 yr old was loud at times and another table was complaining, but the way we were asked to 'get him quiet' was rude and uncalled for. A better way could've been to ask if she could get his food immediately or if there was something she could bring out (drinks, bread, fruit, etc.). Will never be coming back and will be telling all our friends who use to frequent this restaurant and spend A LOT of money to not come back either. Shame the food is good, but so are many places in this area and those places are very kid friendly.

I have to say that this was the most expensive meal we had while in Florida, and probably the least enjoyable. It wasn't bad, but was just ok. Fish was overcooked. Maybe we caught them on a bad night.

We had been to Cafe 30a on a previous visit and it was high on our "must do"list for this visit. Unfortunately this visit will not be as well remembered. Our server was either overwhelmed or didn't care. We had to ask for bread 5 times and it was finally acknowledged by someone who was not our server. While other tables arrived and were served their meals we waited and waited. We had hoped to finish dinner in time to see the sunset but it was well past dark when we finally left. Food was fine but we had to wait so long it was an anticlimax.

Snapper or grouper. Or maybe ciapianno or lobster heaven. Totally the (second) best dining on 30A. Fish Out of Water the best. And BOGO 5-6 pm.! You should go.

Outstanding. The best meal of the week. Expensive, but the only meal that was worth it.

I have eaten here several times over the course of several years time. Each time I have had a great meal. It is annoying that they don't seem to have enough parking, making the valet pretty necessary. Our server was outstanding and the food is always very good. It is pricey, so try to hit the early bird if possible, but in an area of a lot of expensive dining, it is one of the few that I consider "worth the money".

Our waiter was little strange and had a hint of elitism while serving us. Service was Ok over all but the food made up for it. 3 apps shared at the table the quail and grits my favorite was amazing, tons of flavor in the grits and quail perfectly cooked. Mussels were Ok a few seemed bad or under cooked but sauce was amazing when soaked up with the bread. Crab cakes were excellent, typically not a huge crab cake fan but excellent flavor and large chunks of crab. For entrees I had the grouper over chanterelle mushrooms with a key lime tomato butter. Fish was perfectly cooked and the dish was bursting with flavor was a table favorite for sure. Wife got the tuna which was excellent but lacked in flavor complexity and i feel there were other items that would be a better choice. Food was expensive but well prepared and presented.

Had some great lobster tail and our waiter was great! The lobster tail with macaroni was delicious, when we had questions about the menu the waiter expanded and helped us make a decision based on the great advice he gave. Pretty pricey, but if you go early enough even without a reservation you will get seated fine. Awesome!

We were blown away by the tremendous attention to detail and service. It was tough to pick there were just so many delicious, creative fresh seafood on the menu. Be prepared to be amazed. Fabulous fine dining experience.

Great restaurant! Only caveat: Valet, hostess & parking service poor. Food was incredible and wine list is exceptional. Very impressed. Seafood Cioppino was superb! Beet salad fresh and zesty. And Failla wines on the list. An extraordinary surprise.

A very cute little place that was maybe once a home. First thing you'll notice is that it is valet only. My family and I were dressed pretty casually, but I would say the attire is a casual Sunday best. We showed up for the daily 5-6pm buy one get one deal on a Sunday. There is a very large wine selection if you're interested. The entrees ranged $20-30. Our waitress, Genie, was a very polite and sweet older woman. She was a local too, so ask her questions about the neighborhood! She's experienced, friendly, and knows the menu very well. They serve every table with fresh bread and olive oil. We started with the Mac and cheese. With a generous but proportional amount of crawfish, it was the bomb.com . I decided on the scallops. The food did not take long to come out, everything felt comfortable, we were not waiting around for food or service, but nothing was rushed either. The scallops with lobster quinoa was great. Loved the edamame added to the quinoa too. What a great combination. I would have to say, only because I am very sensitive, that it was a tad salty, but still, delicious. The scallops were cooked to perfection, a little crispy on the sides, but melt-in-your-mouth soft on the inside. I only tasted the other dishes (ny strip, snapper, and cioppino) but they were all really delicious! My family had nothing to complain about. We finished with the banana beignets. So good!!! We almost licked the plate. It came with 4 bananas dipped in beignet batter, ice cream, and chocolate and caramel sauce. It was just enough for everyone at the table, but not so much that the buttons on our pants popped off. All in all, a great place to eat if you're comfortable with the price range. I highly recommend if you're in the seaside or watercolor area. Great staff, clean establishment, great for a family dinner, and very nice for a date as well.

As always... wonderful! Best atmosphere, menu, service, and food along 30a. You can always count on this place to be awesome, especially with all of the over-priced over-crowded yuppie traps on 30A! You get what you pay for and what you pay for is a perfect dining experience. Must try the fried green tomatoes.

We always make a stop at Cafe Thirty-A when staying at Seaside and it always delivers a fine meal. It's crowded as heck every night so, definitely recommend reservations. On this trip I had a Caesar salad that was in the top 3 Caesar's I've ever had. Even my wife, who is not a huge fan, thought it was outstanding. She had her usual beet salad which was as good as ever and a bowl of crab soup for her entree. Again, the soup was outstanding with tons of lump crab meat in it. This was the one meal on the trip where I ordered something other than seafood and I was quite happy with a perfectly cooked, medium rare, juicy, NY Strip. Like Arnold says... I'll be back.

Had dinner here on Friday night. We were seated upstairs and basically ignored for the entire 2 hours. The food was great, however, not one time did our servers pour our wine, ask for another drink , fill water glasses OR fill the smallest requests for utensils, steak knives, sauces, etc. We finally ordered a dessert to go which we sat for over 20 minutes waiting on...Our server told us they were incredibly busy.....I hate to see what service is during peak season here if they can't handle now. For someone who just moved here and eats out 5 nights a week we were very disappointed. An expanded wine list would be great as well.
